Our Institutional Advisory Services team is led by 25-year investment industry veteran, Palmer Garson. Palmer and her team have access to traditional and non-traditional investment managers in a wide array of asset classes, across the world. They work closely with Chief Investment Officer Marshall Acuff's Investment Strategy group and the Research Team to develop sophisticated asset allocation strategies.

• Palmer P. Garson

  Managing Director and Partner

  Palmer Garson brings over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry to Cary Street Partners. Creative and proactive, she leads Institutional Advisory Services for the Wealth Management Division which provides management expertise to investment committees of foundations, endowments and pension plans. Palmer also provides advisory services to family offices. She has extensive wealth management experience as a relationship manager, principal, and member of numerous investment committees.

• Kierston Baldwin

  Financial Associate

  Kierston Baldwin is a Financial Associate with over 20 years of experience in the banking and finance industries. She worked at SunTrust Bank in both Orlando, Florida and Richmond, Virginia for 11 years in Trust, Private Wealth Management and Commercial Lending. Kierston has been with Cary Street Partners since 2008.

• Matthew P. Shaia

  Analyst

  Matt joined Cary Street Partners in a full-time capacity in 2009 and serves as an Analyst. In 2007 and 2008, Matt spent his summers as an intern at Cary Street Partners. While interning, Matt was heavily involved in the performance reporting for several of Cary Street Partners’ individual and institutional clients. He joined the firm as a member of the investment advisory team, but has since transitioned to the relationship management aspect of the business as a member of the Institutional Advisory Service Team. He now works closely with Marshall Acuff and Palmer Garson serving as an analyst for institutional and individual clients’ portfolios, interfacing with clients, performing portfolio and manager analytics and attribution analyses.
