Tim Leath joined the Richmond, Virginia office of Cary Street Partners in October 2008 after 24 years in a progression of accounting and finance positions. As CFO, Tim generates and provides vital financial information to his internal clients. He is a key facilitator for the successful growth of the firm – a firm he believes is clearly different from other financial services organizations.

Tim began his career as an accountant with Dominion Federal Savings and Loan in Fairfax, Virginia. He then joined Wheat First Securities where he served as an accountant. Before arriving at Cary Street Partners, Tim was the Director of Financial Systems and Controls for the Private Client Group of Wachovia Securities (now Wells Fargo Advisors).
Tim has a B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech, is a Certified Public Accountant, and licensed under FINRA’s Series 27 as the firm’s Financial and Operations Principal. Tim lives in Richmond with his wife and 3 children.
