Matthew P. Shaia
Analyst
Matt joined Cary Street Partners in a full-time capacity in 2009 and serves as an Analyst. In 2007 and 2008, Matt spent his summers as an intern at Cary Street Partners. While interning, Matt was heavily involved in the performance reporting for several of Cary Street Partners’ individual and institutional clients. He joined the firm as a member of the investment advisory team, but has since transitioned to the relationship management aspect of the business as a member of the Institutional Advisory Service Team. He now works closely with Marshall Acuff and Palmer Garson serving as an analyst for institutional and individual clients’ portfolios, interfacing with clients, performing portfolio and manager analytics and attribution analyses.
Matt holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and Business from Lafayette College, where he also served as the co-captain of the Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field teams. He has received his Series 7 designation. Matt currently resides in Richmond, Virginia.
