David V. Duke
Managing Director
David V. Duke is a Managing Director out of Cary Street Partners’ Atlanta office. He joined in 2012 and is focused on serving middle market industrial technology and manufacturing businesses, with a particular emphasis on specialty chemicals, industrial machinery, and test and measurement equipment. David has nearly 20 years of experience in investment banking, finance and asset management and has advised on over 40 middle market M&A, capital formation and strategic advisory assignments.
Prior to joining Cary Street Partners, he was a Co-Founder of FD Capital Advisors, the investment banking affiliate of Frazier and Deeter, a top 100 CPA firm, where he advised various industrial manufacturing and services clients. He was previously a Principal at Headwaters MB, a leading middle-market firm where he was member of the Industrials Group. Prior to his time at Headwaters, David was Vice President with Synovus Investment Banking, a subsidiary of Synovus Financial Corporation (NYSE: SNV). Before joining Synovus, he was Vice President of SunTrust Banks, where he advised middle-market businesses and business owners on various business succession and exit planning, estate and M&A issues. Previously, David ran his own corporate finance advisory firm, Vance Advisory. He also held various investment banking positions with EquiPlace Securities, GMA Partners, and Jacobs Capital, all Atlanta-based boutique investment and merchant banking firms.
David is a graduate of James Madison University and holds an MBA from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. He is also a Board member of the Atlanta Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
