Daniel W. Clendenin
Financial Advisor
Dan Clendenin serves as a Financial Advisor. In this role, he counsels individuals, families and institutions with regard to their investment selection and asset allocation, through collaboration with Cary Street Partners manager research and investment areas.
Prior to joining Cary Street Partners, Dan worked for Stewart Wealth Management, a boutique financial advisory and investment management group catering to private business owners, corporate executives and high net worth investors (Stewart Wealth Management merged with Cary Street Partners in 2007). He also worked for Wachovia Securities (now Wells Fargo Advisors). Before entering the investment advisory business, Dan gained valuable experience in the healthcare and building industries as an associate with both INOVA Loudoun Hospital and a regional engineering and consulting group in Loudoun County, Virginia. Dan is a licensed Investment Advisor Representative and Securities Registered Representative of FINRA.
Dan graduated, cum laude, from the University of Mary Washington where he studied Business Administration and Accounting. He was elected President of his class for the duration of his tenure at UMW, and upon graduation, was recognized by the school’s Board of Visitors for his dedicated service and contributions to the University. Within the Fredericksburg community, Dan serves on the Planned Giving Committee of the Rappahannock United Way. In addition, he is an Agent for the UMW Alumni Association, a Co-Chair of the UMW Foundation’s GOLD Rush fundraising campaigns, and has been a member of the University’s President’s Council every year since graduation. He also served three terms as a board member for Friends of the Rappahannock, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
Dan resides in downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia.
