With over 40 years of leadership experience in investment strategy, management and research, Marshall Acuff is Cary Street Partners’ Chief Investment Officer.  As the former Chief Market Strategist at Smith Barney, Marshall provided his insights on market themes, now at Cary Street.  Marshall's extentsive experience analyzing the markets provides Cary Street Partners' clients with invaluable investment insight.

As Chief Market Strategist, Marshall designs and implements the working investment process for Cary Street Partners and formulates the strategic decisions regarding asset allocation and risk management for individuals, institutions and family offices.  He and his team work closely and collaboratively with the Institutional Advisory Services, Individual Wealth Management and Research groups.  By doing so all of our clients benefit from the wisdom of a widely respected and knowledgble investment strategist.

• have established relationships with investment managers around the globe – providing unique access to strategies and portfolios that may not be available to many other investors
• utilize a defined screening process for investment managers
• work with investment managers who meet Cary Street Partners’ criteria which, in most cases, includes; a strong long-term portfolio performance, an acceptable level of assets under management and a clean compliance record
• follow a quantitative and qualitative investment manager review process
• evaluate all selected managers on a regular and frequent basis.
