Cary Street Partners Announces Addition to Wealth Management Team
October 24, 2007 - Cary Street Partners is pleased to announce that Palmer Garson has joined the firm’s Wealth Management team as a Managing Director in the Company’s Richmond, VA office. Ms. Garson brings to Cary Street over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Prior to joining Cary Street Partners, Ms. Garson was a co-founder and Managing Partner of Jefferson Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on providing growth financings of well managed, late stage companies with rapid growth. Before co-founding Jefferson Capital Partners in 1989, she developed extensive corporate and investment banking experience working for Morgan Stanley, A.G. Edwards and Mellon Bank. Ms. Garson currently serves on the Board of Directors for several Jefferson Capital Partners portfolio companies. In addition, she is a Trustee of the Virginia Retirement System and the Mary Morton Parsons Foundation. Previously, she was Chair of the Board for the Collegiate School. She remains active at her alma mater, Duke University, where she has participated as a Board Member for the Trinity College Board of Visitors and served on the Annual Fund Executive Committee. Ms. Garson has also served as a Trustee for the Darden School Foundation.
Ms. Garson received an M.B.A. from the Darden Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from Duke University. She lives in Richmond, Virginia.
